LOGOS FOR ACHA 2021 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS UNVEILED
FOUR SIMULTANEOUS EVENTS WILL CONCLUDE THE 2020-2021 ACHA SEASON
TROY, Mich. (March 8, 2021) – The American Collegiate Hockey Association, the governing body for non-NCAA college hockey in the United States, has released the logos for the four ACHA National Championships that will be held in separate locations across the country in mid-April 2021. All games at each National Championship location will be streamed live with Hockey TV.
The 2021 ACHA Men’s Division 1 National Championships are being hosted by Maryville University and will be held at the Maryville University Hockey Center in Chesterfield, Mo., from April 16-20, 2021. Sixteen teams will participate in the single elimination event. Ten of the 16 spots are guaranteed to the nine conferences within Division 1 and one independent team. The remaining at-large spots will be determined by the final computer ranking after games played on March 28, 2021. Four games will be played on each of the first three days of the event, followed by Monday evening semifinal games and the National Championship game on Tuesday, April 20th.
The cities of Bismarck and Mandan, North Dakota, will host the 2021 ACHA Men’s Division 2 National Championships from April 15-20, 2021. Sixteen teams will converge on the Cadillac Rink in the Starion Sports Complex, Mandan, ND and on Wachter Arena in the Capital Ice Complex, Bismarck, ND for three days of pool play, followed by a Banquet and Community Service Day on Sunday, April 18. The championships, hosted by University of Mary, will conclude with Monday semifinals and a Tuesday evening National Championship game in Mandan.
The Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference will host the 2021 ACHA Men’s Division 3 National Championships at Patterson Ice Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The event will consist of eight teams playing in two pools of four teams. Pool play will start on Thursday, April 15th and end on Saturday, April 17th. The top two teams in each pool will play in cross-over semi-final games on Monday, April 19th with the winners meeting in the National Championship game on Tuesday, April 20th.
The 2021 ACHA Women’s Division 1 National Championships will be held in Minot, North Dakota, from April 15-20, 2021, hosted by Minot State University and Visit Minot. Six women’s teams will descend upon the Magic City and will start play at Maysa Arena in two pools of three teams each. The top two teams in each pool will meet in cross-over semi-final games on Monday, April 19th, followed by the winners tangling the National Championship game on Tuesday
